Work in the above areas is supported by five cross cutting themes where Halpin is building in-house expertise: IT & Communications, Shipping & Maritime Operations, Human Factors, Policy and Engineering.

Halpin works closely with research centres and departments at the Cork Institute of Technology (NMCI is a constituent college of CIT) and with NMCI partners, the Irish Naval Service.

Main Space related products, services and projects

  • Network Manager: The Halpin Centre has a unique capacity to link up maritime stakeholders. For any ESA or H2020 Space project, Halpin can act as a conduit from companies seeking end user testing, feedback and validation to the maritime industry through our connections with the world’s largest multinational shipping companies as well as customs, ports, Government institutions, research agencies, and sovereign Naval services.
  • Halpin is also capable of in-house development and innovation…. Global EO - Sentinel 3 data downstream.
  • Galileo & Earth Observation calls and in particular, but not limited to, Galileo-1-2015 and EO-3-2015.
