Fexco to create 175 new jobs in Ireland's South West

Irish fintech company Fexco is creating 175 jobs over the next three years at its headquarters in Killorglin, Co Kerry. The jobs will be in the areas of information and communication technology, software development and sales as part of the payment firm's expansion strategy.This expansion is supported by Enterprise Ireland. Fexco is one of the world’s longest-established financial technology companies, with its expertise in the area of foreign exchange expanding into dynamic currency conversion, multi-currency pricing and tax-free shopping. The high-skill jobs form part of a significant investment in regional, technology-led development

Irish-international fintech company, Fexco has today announced a significant expansion of its operations headquartered in Killorglin, Co Kerry creating 175 new jobs over 3 years.

The jobs form part of Fexco’s expansion strategy reinforcing the South West’s position as the driving force of Ireland’s fintech industry.

The announcement was made today in Killorglin by Julie Sinnamon, CEO of Enterprise Ireland, together with Fexco CEO Denis McCarthy, and Fexco Chairman, Brian McCarthy. The development is supported by the Government through Enterprise Ireland’s R&D Fund.

Recognised as one of the world’s original and longest-established fintech players, Fexco has developed an innovative suite of payments and foreign exchange products and solutions including Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC), Multi Currency Pricing (MCP), Tax Free Shopping and Retail FX.

The high-skill jobs announced today will add 175 to the existing 2,300 staff working across Fexco’s Irish and international operations spanning 29 countries. Fexco is seeking experts in ICT engineering, software and sales to serve new product development opportunities in Ireland.

Commenting on the announcement, Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys, TD, said, “This is a great day for Fexco, Kerry and the wider South West. The economic growth of our regions through the creation of high-skilled, sustainable jobs is a priority for Government, and I am delighted to see such a significant number of these jobs being created at Fexco in disciplines like research and development.
